The Palmerston Community embraces and welcomes everyone, as evidenced by the overwhelming outpouring of support when this group came together to sponsor a Syrian refugee family. In less than a month, we had more than enough money to sponsor a family of six and offers of help to sponsor a second family.
Our fundraising for the first family is finished and we’ve increased our goal to raise another $46,400 for the second family, bringing the total to $92,800.
By donating to our refugee sponsorship fund, you will help us support the sponsored families during their first 12 months of settlement in Toronto. Together we can make a difference in these families’ lives by helping them get a new start and the chance to know the safety and opportunity we so often take for granted in Canada.
